NASA's
Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
is capable of gathering more data about Mars then all the other orbiters
sent to Mars combined.
Even
though it's not the closest planet to the Sun, Venus has the hottest
surface temperatures of all the planets at almost 900 degrees F...that's
more
five times the heat needed to melt lead.
Is
space exploration really all that expensive? Consider this - the
cost of average NASA mission to Mars over the last ten years is roughly
equal to 10 cents
per US citizen per year.
Think a year on Earth is
long? A cosmic year, the amount of time it takes the Sun & the
Solar System to revolve around the Milky Way galaxy is 225 million
Earth years long.
