Space Adventure Themes

SpaceTime offers a variety of themes to suit almost any space science need.  These themes are available in all of the configurations for our enrichment programs and workshops listed on our Metrics/Pricing page unless otherwise noted.

We are continually in the process of updating these themes and developing new ones.  Please check back to this page each season to find out what new and exciting Space Adventure programs we have available.

Rockin' Rockets

With Rockin' Rockets kids will get to do just about everything there is to do with rockets…short of riding one into space! This theme takes them on a wild ride into the fascinating science of rocketry and space exploration while letting them go hands-on to build and launch safe, non-combustible rockets. Activities include learning about the science & history of rocketry, crafting their own SpaceTime Cosmic Cruisers, checking out rocket speeds in 3D and launching lots of different kinds of rockets.

With our Destination Mars theme kids get to go on a virtual tour of Earth's next door neighbor exploring the mysteries of Mars as if they were really there. They will see it up close and personal with some of the most amazing 3D images ever assembled. They will also get to test their piloting skills as they try to bring down their own SpaceTime Mars Landers on the surface of Mars, feel what Mars is like by making their very own Mars Mud, search for signs of life on Mars and much more!

Explorers

Get ready to explore the Final Frontier! Solar System Explorers takes kids on an amazing journey to the outer edges of the Solar System and back. They will get to see the rings of Saturn in 3D, search Jupiter's moons for signs of alien life, explore the asteroid belt, listen to the sounds of The Sun, feel the thrill of a gravity sling-shot and much more.

With I Want to be an Astronaut kids get to see and feel what it is like to train for launching into space and exploring the planets, moons, comets & asteroids of our Solar System.  They will learn about the programs and facilities that NASA uses to get astronauts ready for space travel, design their own space missions including their space suits, rockets & destinations, try out their planet walking skills in our Micro Gravity Boots, experience a simulated rocket launch and more.

Space Explorers

Get ready to explore the Final Frontier!  Our Space Explorers theme takes some of the best elements from our other themes and puts them together for an all around space exploration experience.   It's got rockets, planets, aliens, rovers, astronauts, space stations, meteors and much more.  It's guaranteed to give kids a good taste of what space exploration is all about.

Is there alien life beyond Earth?  With Alien Adventures kids will go on a virtual space mission to explore the possibilities of life on other worlds.  They will get to go up close and personal with worlds in our Solar System where scientists believe alien life might exist as well as take an interstellar ride to a distant planet that could harbor extra-terrestrial life.  In the meantime they will have a STELLAR TIME making their very own Space Slime, launching their own Galactic Gliders, searching for aliens in the classroom and more. (Grades 1-6 only)

Alien Adventures

Lift Off

Prepare for LAUNCH!  Our Lift Off program will take kids on an amazing ride into the world of space exploration and the vehicles that make it happen. It’s non-stop, high flying excitement that builds on the fun of our Rockin’ Rockets theme with even more spacecraft building & launching and includes new activities like playing rocket roulette, designing their own rocket missions and launching large scale rockets 100s of feet in the air.

Set sail on an amazing journey through our cosmic neighborhood with Sailing the Solar System.  This theme will take kids on a hands-on & minds-on adventure through the Solar System where they will get to explore Kuiper Belt, search the clouds of Venus for signs of life, build their very own SpaceTime Solar Sailers, pilot a remote controlled planetary rover, explore the lakes of Titan and much, much more.

Voyagers

Ever wonder about those little points of light in the night sky? With the Star Voyagers program kids will get to explore the stars, galaxies, nebulae and other cosmic objects shining down on us here on Earth as well as go up close & personal with our own stellar companion, the Sun. And along the way they will get to have some serious outer space fun building their own mini-galaxies, checking out the constellations, putting on their cosmic detective hats in the UV Light Mystery and more. (Grades 1-6 only)

Explore the outer reaches of the Solar System and beyond with Deep Space Adventures where kids will take a deep space journey into "The Great Unknown". As a member of one of SpaceTime's one-of-a-kind Virtual Voyagers teams they will set up bases & space stations at exotic locations like on the moons of Jupiter & Saturn, hovering over the event horizon of a massive black hole and orbiting on a solar platform in the million degree heat just above the surface of the Sun. From these and other locations they will explore the limits of man's understanding of outer space.  (Grades 3-6 only, 8 class maximum, not available as an assembly)
